Luke & Kelly Lyons
Missions has always played a huge role in the lives of Luke and Kelly Lyons. Luke is a 3rd generation missionary, and Kelly a 2nd generation missionary, and it was while Luke's family was home on furlough from the mission field that God allowed their paths to cross. Luke and Kelly dated "long distance" while Luke attended seminary and Kelly served at a church in Boise, Idaho. In July of 2006 however, Luke finally wised up, and they were married. The Lyon's have one son, Scott - 18 months, and one child on the way - due January, 2012.
Luke and Kelly's ministry focus in the Philippines will be leadership development, with a focus on small groups and discipleship. There are currently 200 small groups with the plan being to birth dozens more. Luke also teaches at Baptist Bible College Asia. If you have ever traveled with us to the Philippines then you have unknowingly benefited from Kelly's gift of organization, as she has planned and arraigned all of our trips.
Luke and Kelly share a love for travel in their spare time, however small that time might be. Other hobbies for the Lyons include: Kelly - scrapbooking; and Luke - golf, tennis, and photography.
